Marie Veschusio is a visual artist based out of Rome, New York who primarily works in sculpture, two-dimensional works, and installation art. She works fluently in a variety of media: glass, paint, charcoal and ink since 2013. Much of Marie’s work reflects the prevalent theme of the perception of ourselves, our bodies and the world around us; a dichotomy of the delicacy and durability of human kind, both physical and emotional. Receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a specialization in Studio Art and a minor in Art History, Marie graduated in May of 2017 from Cazenovia College. Marie has received several notable achievements in her field: the recipient of the 2017 Hubbard Award for Studio Art, recipient of Honorable mention in the Rome Regional Fine Arts Exhibition and was awarded Second Place in the Sculpture Division of the 2018 Rome Art Association’s Member Exhibition. Marie has also created international commissioned works. Marie’s most recent exhibitions include Rome Art Association’s Annual Member Exhibition in May 2019 and her solo exhibition, perfect human-ness, at the Broome County Arts Council Artisan Gallery (Binghamton, NY) in January 2019.
